Level B1-B2
Course 3
Course 3 teaches the last basic grammar skills and expands them with more complex grammatical structures such as passive voice and subordinate clauses.
In course 3, written and oral situations from everyday life and work are to be practised. The writing of job applications and statements is practised. In addition, the aim is to gradually build up speaking skills in order to be able to hold conversations about experiences, events, goals and plans. The range of conversation topics is expanded to include economic, historical and current social topics.

Course 4
Using a wide variety of materials, Course 4 focuses on practising all language skills, i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing. In addition to general-language topics, such as profession and studies, other topics including the language of science, presentation skills, subject-specific texts and communication at university are covered. Grammatical structures are consolidated systematically and other relevant structures such as Passive voice, Nominal clauses and Adverbial clauses, Subjunctive I and II as well as Infinitive constructions contribute to expanding the scope.

Level C1
Course 5
On this level, the main focus is on topics such as science, research, art, politics, etc. Participants practise speech acts such as discussing and debating, expand and develop their vocabulary as well as their speaking and writing skills together with further discussions of German grammar (specific word formation patterns, Subjunctive mood, Relative clauses, Function verb patterns, Phraseology).

Courses a) to d)
The BA Courses a) to d) are aimed at teaching and practising the special structures of subject-specific language in oral and written communication. Moreover, the linguistic standards of presentations, discussions as well as formal criteria of academic discourse are consolidated. In addition, the knowledge of the country is deepened and extended by the work on cultural study projects.
