Contents
The resources used by humans are taken from nature. Which raw materials are these? How are they extracted, used, and subsequently reused? What technical processes do humans employ for their extraction and utilization, and what problems arise from this? What future developments can be expected?
- Organic and inorganic resources
- Natural raw materials, especially fibers
- Plastics and elastomers
- Mineral raw materials
- Metals and metal oxides
- Process and material conversion technology
- Process agents and important basic chemicals
- Assembly and disassembly processes
Qualification Goals
The students possess fundamental knowledge of existing resources, their processing and utilization. They understand the interactions with the environment and nature, and are able to apply this knowledge throughout their studies, adapt their own behavior, and reflect upon the results achieved.
