NEW Time Schedule:

  • Course registration by OPAL.
  • Mid of April: Allocation of the topics
  • End of June: Submission of the final paper
  • Beginnig of July: Presentation (only if possible)

The seminar course deals with topics in the fields of Copyright Law, Trademark Law, Patent Law or any other connected Law. Participants of the course should learn how law manages legal issues in the mentioned fields. Therefore, it is necessary to get a wide view of the relevant legal issues and legal systems to understand what the development with regard to Intellectual Property Law is. For this purpose, the aim of this seminar course is not only to write a scientific paper about one of the mentioned topics. Additional to that participants practice to talk and discuss about their different legal systems, in particular to evaluate at the end of the course the advantages and disadvantages of each legal system. The seminar course is rounded off a short introduction in the relevant German legal regulations to complete the point of view.

In Addition to the above mentioned seminar course, we are planning to offer a new type of seminar. This year we will have a new type of teaching course with more practical work with e.g. case studies.

Requirements:

  • attend all clases
  • group work in each class
  • preparation of small midterm presentations
  • Submission and Presentation (15-20 mins) of the final results
