Books by Carl von Bach (Julius Carl von Bach)

Carl Julius von Bach (8th March 1847 - 10th October 1931) was a German mechanical engineer and academic lecturer. His principle aim was to bridges the divide between theory and practice in mechanical engineering and civil engineering. He had established two research institutions, the Materialprüfanstalt 1884 and the Ingenieurlabor 1895, to ensure the scientific basis. Due to the importance of his works Carl Julius von Bach is regarded as the founder of the theory of static elasticity and the mechanics of materials.
