Change of degree programme

For application of degree programme change please use the SBservice (quicklink "Application for courses of study").

Deadlines:

For the admission-restricted degree programmes Bachelor Psychology and Educational Studies for Elementary School, TU Chemnitz participates in the dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV) of hochschulstart.de for places of studies for winter term. Here it is necessary that you first register at hochschulstart.de and then apply in our application portal.

Application for semester placement / accreditation of examination results

If you want to transfer credits from a previous or current degree programme, you must submit an application for semester placement/accreditation of for examination results to the responsible examination board before applying. The confirmed semester placement must be submitted to Student Services as follows during the application process:

Bachelor's/Diploma and teaching degree programmes:

  • for degree programs without admission restrictions: together with the application for enrolment or subsequent submission by e-mail
  • for degree programs with admission restrictions: Subsequent submission by e-mail or post by the end of the submission deadline

Master's degree programs:

You upload the application for semester placement/accreditation of for examination results as part of the online application in the application portal or submit it by e-mail, alternatively by post. Please note the submission deadline for a Master's degree programme with restricted admission.

Note: If no credits are credited, the application is made for the first semester.

You will be automatically transferred into your new study course after handing in your application for enrolment (online application) and after paying the semester fee. As a proof, you can print out your enrolment certificate via the SB-Service.

International students will also receive and admission letter (programme course change) for the foreigners department by post.

Programme course changes may, under some cirumstances, cause the loss for BAföG-support. For this reason it is highly recommended to inform the BAföG-agency before.
