Student Association Events
As the Student Association, we offer you various events throughout the year to provide interesting insights beyond your studies and opportunities for socializing with your fellow students in a cozy setting. This includes:
- Seminars, where you can explore topics from different areas, such as "Taxes during and after studies" or "DIN standards."
- Excursions, where you can gather impressions from various companies and other cities.
- Events for fun and relaxation, such as sports activities like volleyball or barbecue evenings.

Dear new student,
Welcome to TU Chemnitz! You've made a great decision by choosing an electrical engineering program.
Many of us were once in your shoes at the beginning of our studies: a new city, new people, and a lot of choices and opportunities (and sometimes obligations) ahead.
To help you ease into your studies, we are organizing an Orientation Week. Through various events, you will get to know TU Chemnitz, the city of Chemnitz, and your fellow students better. Often, this is where the first friendships are formed.
Additionally, we will assist you in organizing your studies and provide insights into university life.
We are excited to have you join us! If you encounter any issues with the registration, please feel free to write us an email.
Note
Please note that we have prepared a full-day program for you during the Orientation Week. Make sure to keep the entire week free to not miss any events.
Food and drinks will be provided by us; however, it would be essential for you to bring about 10€ in cash for visits to the cafeteria.
We are looking forward to getting to know you!
Most of our events are conducted in German, as this is also the main language of our orientation week. If you wish to participate in an entirely English orientation week, the university offers a central event for that purpose. Here is the Link.
