2019 International Symposium on Epi-Graphene
Scope

Scope of the symosium:

The potential of graphene on silicon carbide, which is nowadays referred to as epi-graphene, has been shown more than a decade ago by the pioneering work of Walt de Herr and Claire Berger. A strong community has formed throughout the years, which has led to an impressive progress in the knowledge about the material and its possible applications in, e.g., electronics, sensors or quantum metrology. Despite the progress, there is still demand for understanding finer details of this intriguing material, for improving and devloping new concepts for the growth of epi-graphene and epi-graphene nanostructures, for processes to tailor its properties and for development of novel applications.  This can only be accomplished by advanced theoretical and experimental investigations. The symposium will provide an ideal platform for scientists in the field to present and discuss their recent work and for setting up future collaborations.
