The transition of a material from a metallic to an insulating state is still an incompletely understood phenomenon. Essentially, two different mechanisms were studied in last decades: treating the metal-insulator transition on the basis of many-body interaction (Mott transition) or by disorder (Anderson transition). By using various methods we are able to investigate the influence of disorder on phase transitions.
