30.09.2024 Summer School for Applied Analysis with successful format 40 researchers from Germany and abroad attended the traditional event at the Department of Mathematics of TU Chemnitz from September 16 to 20, 2024. The event was organized by Dr. Franziska Nestler, Prof. Daniel Potts, Prof. Martin Stoll and Prof. Tino Ullrich. Participating PhD students and post-docs had the opportunity to give short talks or present their research topics on posters in the afternoon sessions. 26.06.2024 PhD student Kseniya Akhalaya received the 2nd price in the Poster Award at the international conference Strobl24 - More on Harmonic Analysis from June 9 to 15, 2024 in Strobl, Austria. She presented her poster entitled Fast and interpretable Support Vector Classification based on the truncated ANOVA decomposition and was able to convince the conference organization team. 26.06.2024 WiDS Chemnitz 2024 was a complete success WiDS Chemnitz from 6th to 7th June 2024, which was organized by Theresa Wagner and Franziska Nestler as WiDS ambassadors, was again a complete success and attracted roughly 60 interested people from various disciplines. Thanks to all speakers, poster presenters and all other participants for coming and making this event so valuable. 06.07.2023 Michael Schmischke receives Paper-Award For his outstanding research paper entitled Approximation of high-dimensional periodic functions with Fourier-based methods, Dr. Michael Schmischke receives the SIAM Student Paper Prize of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
