Notes on design
Avoid the following elements
- Flashy colours!
- Scrolling text
- Blinking fonts
- or animated images
- Mixing too many different fonts and font sizes, colours and backgrounds
Please note the following aspects
- Use predefined formats in the Corporate Design of the TU
- Design elements for content: Links, highlights, tables, etc.
- CSS design elements for structuring

Avoid copy&paste from Office programmes to avoid unnecessarily generated HTML code:
- If possible, the text should be inserted as plain text (using the key combination Ctrl+Shift+V)
- Text is formatted in the HTML editor afterwards

Remember that your website should be easily readable on all devices and printed on paper by as many people as possible
– Consider aspects of „Responsive Design“: Adapt the content to the available resolution of the device -
Images:
- Scale images, especially photos, to the right size – consider e. g. loading times or unwanted high-resolution portrait photos
- Responsive Design: use the „img-responsive“ CSS class
- Pay attention to copyrights, a copyright notice can also be included for page images
- Essential functions should be accessible without Javascript – no Flash, no Java, no plug-ins
