Human visual sensing and cognition

  Research topics [Sensing & Cognition]

In the research field of "human visual sensing and cognition", we study the processing of visual signals. This ranges from their formation in the real world and their sensory processing and perception, to higher cognitive processes that eventually lead to decisions and actions. Statistical methods and computational modeling are used along with psychophysical experiments and measurements of (peripheral) physiological signals, such as eye position and pupil size. This research area is tightly connected with the study of human behaviour and movement and with the field of auditory sensing and human cognition ..
