Proposed statements:

1) Prof. Schmied: "German expectations for English abroad: similarities and differences in ERASMUS and world-wide"

2) Prof. Chang: "Chinese expectations for English abroad"

3) Prof. Stolz: "Chinese students in class at the English Dept at TUC"

4) Jessica Küchler, TUC student: "Working/studying at SYSU from a German/TUC perspective: introduction and presentation"

5) RAO Jinyi / SONG Jingfei, students SYSU: "Studying at Chemnitz from a Chinese/SYSU student perspective: introduction and presentation"

The audience is encouraged to add from their own experience and to ask questions after each section.

Questions for statements and discussions can include:

1) Why do students study English?

2) What do students expect from their professors? What do professors expect from their students?

3) Are there any differences between German and Chinese students in teaching/learning strategies?

4) Do Chinese students (learn to) collaborate with German students and vice versa?

5) What will students do after finishing their degree?
