Research Profile:
The Professorship of Sociological Theories focuses on the development and adaption of sophisticated theories of contemporary societies and social processes.
Our theoretical endeavours are paired with empirical examinations. We adopt innovative qualitative methods of social research, creating and employing especially custom-fit ethnographies, expert interviews and document analyses.
Main general research areas are social and political theory, political sociology, democratic studies, and science and technology studies.
