Run against cancer

The Department of Sports Medicine and Exercise Therapy at the Chemnitz University of Technology has been supporting the "Run against cancer" running event organized by the Saxon Cancer Society for several years. The donations collected at the event benefit various projects supported by the Saxon Cancer Society. Among other projects, a project of the Verein für Gesundheitssport und Sporttherapie Chemnitz e.V. "Expansion of exercise programs for children, adolescents and adults with cancer" was funded in 2023. PD Dr. Dr. Nico Nitzsche from the Department of Sports Medicine and Exercise Therapy was present at the handover of the cheque to VGS Chemnitz e.V. together with the Managing Director of the Saxon Cancer Society, Dr. Porzig.
