To the Library for Online-Examination

The University Library provides the opportunity to students of Chemnitz University of Technology to reserve a place for written online-examinations

Examinations are always themselves already a challenge. Even more if, due to the current situation, they are held as online-examinations: worries about technical equipment, insufficient silence, the individual privacy – there are many reasons why especially online-examinations are a particular challenge for students.

To those students, the University Library would like to provide the opportunity to complete their written online-examinations in its spaces. In this respect, respectively 16 places are available on weekdays which may be reserved online. Anyhow, as requirement for this, persons have to comply with the “GGG-rule” concerning Corona for access which means that they have verifiably to be either vaccinated (complete vaccination protection at least 14 days subsequent to the last necessary individual vaccination), recovered (notification of recovery) or tested (daily-based negative test evidence).

If this is the case, places for the duration of the respective written online-examination in the library may be reserved – even though there are beyond the current opening hours of the University Library (Monday-Friday 10 am-5 pm). In this case, the entrance to the building is ensured by the security staff. It is important to bring along with the evidence of compliance to the “GGG-rule” also the reservation confirmation as it serves as evidence for the reservation period applied for.

By the registration, the students receive a precise determination of place with indication of the wing, the level and the number of the place. Exclusively this place is permitted to be used during the reserved period of time. In the building, it is mandatory to wear mouth-nose-protections-masks. As it is not permitted to use the collections and the computer workstations, the students have to bring along or borrow the hardware required for the examination themselves. After completion of the examination, they are asked to exit the building without delay.

For further information including the access to the online-reservation-form, please visit the following website of the University Library: https://www.tu-chemnitz.de/ub/service/arbeiten-lernen/pruefungen/information.html.en.
