Welcome and Registration
Time: from 12 noon | TUCalumni booth in the foyer at the University Library
Please register on the day of the event at the TUCalumni booth in the foyer of the University Library and pick up your participant badge.
Opening Ceremony & Welcoming by the President of the TU Chemnitz
followed by a get-together
Time: 1 pm | Room: "IdeenReich" in the University Library
Alumni who are celebrating their 25th, 50th or 65th graduation this year will receive an "honorary certificate" during the opening ceremony upon prior registration. Afterwards, get into conversation, exchange ideas and find out more at the get-together.

- Exhibition opening "Alumni in portrait"
- BIDS alumni meeting of Polish and Czech alumni
- Forum "Chemnitz student body in the GDR era": Presentation of the research project at Chemnitz University of Technology on the realities of life for Chemnitz/Karl-Marx-Stadt students during the GDR era. Come and talk to us! We are interested in your experiences and knowledge.

Looking at personal files from GDR times can be a real trip down memory lane for alumni who graduated before 1990. (Registration required)

Discover the new rooms of the university library in the city center and take a look behind the scenes. (Registration required)
Guided tour of the Campus Straße der Nationen
Time: 3 pm and 4 pm | Meeting point: Main entrance/Foyer Böttcherbau, Straße der Nationen 62

Time: 3.30, 4.30 and 5.30 pm | Meeting point: TUCalumni booth (Zentrales Hörsaalgebäude)
Please also note the program of the TUCtag and the Long Night of Sciences, which you can visit independently of the 11th International Alumni Reunion. You can find Information booths of the faculties and central institutions of the TU Chemnitz and snacks or refreshments of the Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau and others at the Zentrales Seminar- und Hörsaalgebäude (Central Seminar and Lecture Hall Building) and on the forecourt.
MENSA special for TUCtag from 5pm to 10pm:
In the Cafete⁵⁵ you have the opportunity to have dinner. The staff at Mensa Reichenhainer Straße have prepared various menus for you at attractive TUCtag prices. Reservations are not necessary.

City tour of Chemnitz
Time 10 a.m. | Meeting point: Böttcherbau main entrance, Straße der Nationen 62
Explore sights that are connected to the "Capital of Culture 2025". The tour starts at the Klapperbrunnen fountain on Schillerplatz and leads via the Chemnitz district cooling supply to the Chemnitz castle district. There, a visit to the castle church is planned, where the angel figure by artist Christina Doll is currently on display and which is part of the Capital of Culture flagship project "Purple Path". The tour then continues past the Schilling figures at the Schloßteich and into the Hartmann factory hall, where the future Capital of Culture Visitor Center is located.
