The International Office is the central contact for all students who are planning a stay abroad during their studies. We also support international students and doctoral candidates before, during, and after their studies. If you want to make international contacts, you can get involved as a local buddy in the Student Buddy Program. Meet our International Students

The International Office has a number of other offers, especially for international students, two of which we would like to briefly introduce to you here.

BIDS – coming from Czech Republic or Poland to study at Chemnitz University of Technology

As part of the BIDS project, a variety of events are organised at Chemnitz University of Technology for pupils from Polish and Czech schools. The aim is to present the university, to make studying conditions tangible and to inspire students to study in Chemnitz. To help students with the decision to take up a Bachelor's programme at Chemnitz University of Technology, motivational scholarships are also awarded for the first year of study. Welcome at Chemnitz University of Technology: Support for Refugees

The Welcome Project is the first point of contact for all refugees who are interested in studying at Chemnitz University of Technology or are already studying here. We answer all your questions about application, student financing, and the German university system. With the help of our tandem program you can also get in touch with students of Chemnitz University of Technology.
