Whether it’s talk of going to the “dark side,” saying “may the force be with you” or speaking with inverted syntax like the Yoda character, “Star Wars” lingo crops up in all kinds of conversations. Christina Sanchez-Stockhammer, Professor of English and Digital Linguistics at the Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany, set out to investigate this phenomenon.
