In Memoriam: Marek Tukiendorf
Rector of Opole University of Technology passed away on 17 July 2019
Marek Tukiendorf, Rector of Politechnika Opolska (Opole University of Technology) from 2012 until today, passed away on 17 July 2019. Tukiendorf was a strong supporter and proponent of contact and cooperation between his university and Chemnitz University of Technology. He was a
member of the Excellence Council of the Federal Cluster of Excellence MERGE at Chemnitz University of Technology. Tukiendorf also played a special, notable role in the 1st and the 2nd Polish-German Bridge Conference in Opole and Chemnitz. We are grateful for his work that has so benefited Chemnitz University of Technology, and we will keep him in our thoughts.
About Marek Tukiendorf
Marek Tukiendorf was born on 9 October 1964 in Powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski. He was a Polish chemist who specialised in engineering and chemical equipment, a professor of Agricultural Sciences, an academic teacher and mentor, and Rector of Opole University of Technology.
