Device: Collin® P 300 P / M laboratory platen press (COLLIN Lab & Pilot Solutions GmbH)
Specifications:
- Homogeneous distribution of temperature over the plate surface (Size: 260 x 260 mm²)
- High rate of heating and cooling
- Freely programmable press programs for pressure, temperature and time via touch screen
- Maximum working temperature of 400 °C
- 4-column design for plane parallelism of the samples with reproducible component quality
- Independent plate temperature monitoring, heating plates individually adjustable for setting temperature gradients
- Graphical representation of all the experimental parameters
Applications:
- Production of test specimens: foils or plates for the determination of mechanical, physical, chemical or optical properties.
- Lamination: prototyping; adjustment of production processes
- Thermoforming
- Embossing and micro-embossing: Embossing the surface on one or both sides using embossing tools or stamps. (Structures in the micro range through high precision temperature, pressure and displacement control)
- Sintering: prototypes and small series of polymer or ceramic powder mixtures by uniaxial or isostatic pressing
