Hosting the 4th International MERGE Technologies Conference (IMTC) at Chemnitz University of Technology was an exciting experience for us.
This year’s agenda was focused on topics central to the sustainable ecological and economic production of hybrid lightweight components as well as the latest developments and trends in lightweight construction and featured an excellent range of speakers, exhibitors and sponsors.
Other highlights included the MERGE Special Session, which summarised some of the cluster’s most relevant research results thus far, and the Creative Exhibition, which opened up new perspectives on lightweight construction innovations. The accompanying trade fair, guided tours through the MERGE Technology Centre, and the enjoyable Conference Dinner where the Best Paper, Poster and Artworks were awarded, topped off the event’s well-rounded programme.
It was our vision to inform, entertain and provide a networking forum for our participants in a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. The numerous contributions from science, research and industry helped make this vision a reality. Over 200 participants from nearly 60 organisations and 8 countries attended and thus shared in the success of the conference. We therefore want to extend a heartfelt thanks to all participants for their knowledge, time and commitment.
We hope you enjoyed the scientific, social and creative programme as much as we did and look forward to welcoming you at Chemnitz University of Technology again soon.
