Current Topics
Procedure
- Students who wish to write a bachelor's thesis at the Chair of Business Administration I should contact a staff member of the chair with their preferred topic areas.
- It is expected that you first familiarize yourself in depth with the topic areas you intend to address in your thesis.
- Subsequently, you will develop the specific topic of your thesis together with your supervisor.
- In exceptional cases, topics are announced. The currently announced thesis topics can be found under "Current Topics".
- For this purpose, please submit an exposé as well as the data sheet.
Exposé
The results of your initial research phase culminate in the preparation of an exposé (3-5 pages).
An exposé includes:
- a brief explanation of the motivation and subject of the bachelor's thesis
- three research questions developed by you, which you intend to answer in your thesis
- the planned methodological approach
- and an outline draft.
Duration / Scope
After registering your bachelor's thesis with the Central Examination Office, the processing time is 9 weeks.
The scope of the bachelor's thesis should be approximately 50 text pages – about 75,000 characters without spaces. Appendices and lists do not count.
Final Presentation
For your final presentation, prepare a 15-minute talk. The content focus of the presentation should be discussed with your supervisor in advance.

Current Topics

An exposé includes:

Duration / Scope
After registering your master's thesis with the Central Examination Office, the processing time is 4 months.
The scope of the master's thesis should be 60 to 80 text pages – approximately 90,000 to 120,000 characters without spaces. Appendices and lists do not count.
Colloquium
Accompanying the master's theses in Accounting and Corporate Tax Management, a colloquium is held.
The current progress of your work must be presented at least twice. Each presentation should last 15 minutes.
The dates will be communicated to you via email.
Please register at the office no later than three days before the respective date.
