Course Overview
The lecture comprises an overview on the architecture of parallel computers with a special emphasis on
interconnection networks, parallel performance measures and runtime analysis, message-passing programming, and communication patterns.
Qualification objectives: Knowledge in the areas architecture of parallel platforms, network topologies, communication patterns as well as
theoretical and practical knowledge of message-passing programming.

- Programming in C;
- fundamental knowledge of efficient algorithms and data structures

Informationen zur Abschlussklausur
- The examination is a written exam of 90 minutes taking place on Monday, July 13th 2014 from 17:15 to 18:45in room 1/204 (lecture time in the last week).
- Students enrolled in the master's course Angewandte Informatik have to submit the solutions to 4 task sheets before the respective tutorials.
- To take part you have to register in the central eximination office.
- It is not allowed to use any auxillary material (e.g. slides) within the examination.
