Nach einer allgemeinen Einführung liegt der Fokus dieses Moduls auf dem Magnetismus von Festkörpern und dem Verständnis einfacher homogener magnetischer Materialien sowie damit verbundenen magnetischen Phänomenen und deren Charakterisierung.

After a general introduction to magnetism the focus of this module lies on magnetism and magnetic materials of condensed matter and the understanding and characterization of homogeneous magnetic materials and the corresponding phenomena therein.

The current plan is to provide weekly lecture recordings, each about 90 minutes in average length. These recordings will be posted on our webpages, which you then should listen to at your convenience until the next weekly live feedback session at our designated “Magnetism II” lecture time slot on Thursdays at 15:30 in the above BBB (BigBlueButton) chatroom. During the live teleconference feedback sessions you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the recorded lectures and we can go together to the corresponding lecture slides and discuss your questions in detail.
