Prof. Till Clausmeyer has started as new professor and is head of the Professur Umformtechnik (Forming Technology) on March 1st, 2024. Professor Clausmeyer and his team are currently shaping the organizational structure of the Professorship Forming Technology, which in future will cover the research and teaching activities of the previous Professorship of Forming and Joining (UFF) and the Professorship of Virtual Production Engineering (ViF).

We offer a wide range of services, which include the analysis of forming processes in the field of sheet metal and solid forming by means of various simulation systems. Furthermore, we also carry out new developments and improvements of forming processes.

The entire Department of Mechanical Engineering and thus the Professorship of Virtual Production Engineering are certified according to the QM system ISO 9001:2015.
