Name:

Giuseppe Sanseverino

Why did you choose the University of Chemnitz?:

Sport engineering has always fascinated me, since my home university (Federico II, Naples, Italy) has a strong connection with Chemnitz one and my professor really recommended me this department I chose to apply for my traineeship in Chemnitz. Even some friends of mine that have been in Chemnitz before gave me some really positive feedback.

Which aspects of your stay in Chemnitz do you think have been most beneficial to your career development?:

Working as researcher in Chemnitz, where everything is much more practical than in my home university, gave me the opportunity to understand the real meaning of a scientific study. SGT department helped me to appreciate the importance of working in team.

Please describe your current role:

I’m actually a student of mechanical engineering master degree in Naples.

What is your favourite memory of Chemnitz?:

All the people that I met from all over the world, they all gave me the possibility to grow from personal and professional point of view.

What are your future plans and ambitions?:

After this experience I’m really thinking to work in the academic field after my master degree, that is something that I would never have thought before having this wonderful experience. I really hope to have the chance to come back in Chemnitz Sport equipment department for a PhD.
