London International Exhibition on Industry and Art 1862
Die Weltausstellung fand vom 1. Mai bis zum 1. November 1862 auf dem heutigen Gelände des Natural History Museums mit dem Thema "Industrie und Kunst" statt.
Extra für diese Weltausstellung entwarf der Architekt Captain Francis Fowk einen Ausstellungspalast. Dort wurden zahlreiche Neuerungen wurden vorgestellt,
wie die Babbage Analytic Engine
oder die Bessemerbirne.
