Research at the professorship Technical Thermodynamics

The research activities of the professorship Technical Thermodynamics include the calculation, design, simulation, measurement and further development of facilities for the utilization, transformation and transport of thermal energy and facilities at the field of chemical and biochemical reactor technology. The clarification of basic phenomena like thermal and material transfer or the detection of physical characteristics goes with this as well.

Concrete research works are:

• Solar thermal demonstration installations
• Thermal energy reservoirs (heat and cold reservoirs)
• Appliances/reactors/residence time distributions
• Smells/waste water treatment/analyses and concepts of waste management
