Modulbeschreibung: This seminar is an introduction to the field of foreign language teaching. Students will get an overview of theoretical assumptions and practical implications within the field. They will experience their future subject English globally as the following questions are discussed:

• How are foreign languages acquired/learned?
• How do pupils learn language in primary school?
• Which competencies are to be fostered?
• How come that we teach English in primary school?
