Strengthening Practice-Oriented Education Program for the Automotive Industry (STEP)

Project Overview

The STEP project aims to establish a sustainable and modern engineering education program in the automotive sector to enhance the employability chances for graduates in the partner country. It ensures strategic and specific measures for improving the qualification of students and thereby provides a structural development of the educational program at the partner university 
(ENET´Com). On the other hand, the project aims to adapt the education programs to the real needs of the labor market in the automotive sector, as well as to strengthen and sustain the partnership between both universities and established business partners. It enhances the universities' profile in the automotive sector to boost the employability of young graduates in a sustainable and comprehensible manner.

Key Aims

  • Joint development of a practice-oriented master's program and modernization of existing curricula in automotive engineering at the partner university
  • Establishment of the automotive training academy at ENET’Com
  • Promote research projects on topics relevant to the local automotive industry
  • Gaining expertise in development cooperation at CUT side
  • Establishment of an active, relevant network covering higher education institutions and local business partners in the automotive field

Expected outcomes

Education:

  • Modernize curricula at the partner university
  • Develop the "Automotive Engineering" master's program
  • Qualify students in technical and soft skills

Teaching Capacity:

  • Enhance teaching staff methodologies
  • Provide praxis-oriented lectures
  • Improve 4C center service offerings

Research & Collaboration:

  • Co-supervise local context graduation projects
  • Co-supervise PhD students aligned with industry needs

Institutional Development:

  • Reinforce CUT's business and university cooperation
  • Extend individual institutional contacts
