The focus in research at the chair of Digital Signal Processing and Circuit Technology are in the fields of computer vision and signal processing.

Please visit the different topic pages for detailed information.

Computer vision has been researched at the chair of Digital Signal Processing and Circuit Technology since 2008 and represents the largest field of research. Thereby, computer vision refers to machine related image understanding, which is based on the abilities of the human visual system.

As part of the research at the chair, all aspects of computer vision are considered, starting with camera calibration, through image preprocessing, stereo vision, the recognition of persons and objects in images and finally the visualization.
Communication Systems are a key research topic of the professorship DST. The focus is on multi carrier communication systems. The present research activities are concentrated on Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplex (OFDM) and Filter-Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) systems for various applications like Powerline Communication, 5G or automotive bus systems.
