Artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming the application process. Increasingly, students are using AI tools to create their application documents, while companies are adopting AI-based systems to screen and evaluate applications. For students, the question is no longer whether AI will be used, but how to use it effectively, thoughtfully, and strategically. This seminar provides a practical overview of how AI is changing the application process and where its use offers real added value. Students will learn to use AI tools deliberately to create, optimize, and personalize their application materials. At the same time, they will gain insights into selection procedures and the expectations that modern HR departments have for applications. The interactive workshop combines concrete examples with critical reflection, showing how AI can support the application process without compromising authenticity, transparency, or credibility.
Learning Objectives
Students will
- efficiently create structured, personalized application documents using AI.
- strategically apply suitable AI tools to optimize and further develop their application
strategy. - gain insights into the use of AI and algorithms in recruiting and tailor their applications
accordingly. - reflect on the opportunities, limitations, and risks of AI in the application process and take
them into account responsibly.
Requirements
- PC, laptop, or tablet with a stable internet connection, as well as video and audio capabilities
- Since the seminar is interactive, having cameras turned on significantly contributes to a
good group dynamic and is explicitly encouraged.
