International Autumn School - Internet of Things, 2020
BeIoT

International School on Internet of Things (BE-IoT-2020)

Welcome

Education is one of the most powerful tools to create a more prosperous future for a country. Because of the rapidly evolving technology, the marketing landscape is growing pace than ever. To address the fast-changing labour market, the education system needs to change from the knowledge-transfer model to an active colloborative self-directed model by applying advanced technologies including the Internet of Thing (IoT) and entrepreneurship. IoT systems have the potential to bring significant values to higher education institutions, but without thoughtful implementation, that value will be not realized. Theoritical courses are not sufficient to improve academy-industry cooperation, promote innovation and reinforce education. To this end, an international school on IoT is organized, which aims to boost the education of IoT for modernization and employability. Within the school, constructive and progressive courses are ofered starting from an overview about challenges and opportunities of Internet of Things to more specific themes and applications in the field of IoT.

The International School on the Internet of Things takes place within the DAAD project “Boosting Education of IoT for Modernization and Employability” (BeIoT) between Chemnitz University of Technology (TUC), the Private International Polytechnic School of Sfax (ESPIN)and the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).

In order to provide the possibility to participate in the International School on IoT 2020, under the challenge imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to have a completely virtual event this year. We will offer live-streaming, digital hackathon, virtual Hands-on Building Scalable Startups and Pannels discussions with experts. Students can assist via a digital platform. We plan for an interesting virtual experience to make the international School an inspiring online place of exchange. Further details about the form and platform will be communicated later, we will keep you informed about the planning

The Chair of Measurement and Sensor Technology at Technische Universität Chemnitz is organizing the International on Internet of Things in cooperation with the German Chapter of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society.

Registration is possible until 15.09.2020.
