Airport

Chemnitz does not have an airport. However, the closest airports to the city are those of Leipzig and Dresden. For those who are planning a long trip, a good solution could also be the airports of Berlin (Tegel, Schönefeld) and Frankfurt am Main (Rhein-Main-Flughafen). An alternative option is Prague Airport (Václav Havel Airport Prague), Czech Republic.

Getting to Chemnitz after landing at one of those airports is straightforward: the bus or the train can be used, with similar prices. Depending on how early you will book your bus/train trip you will be able to find very good prices for tickets.

Train

All trains arriving at Chemnitz stop at Chemnitz Main Station (Chemnitz Hbf). From the station you can easily reach the conference venue by taxi or public transport: tram no.3 or no.13, direction "Technopark" from "Hauptbahnhof, Bahnhofstr." to "Rosenbergstraße" stop.

Reaching Chemnitz by car

The Federal highways B95, B107, B169, B173, B174 as well as the autoroutes A4 and A72 can be used to reach Chemnitz by car. Distance from Berlin to Chemnitz is 270 km, from Frankfurt 400 km and from Prague 170 km. Distances are shorter from Dresden and Leipzig, 80 and 90 km, respectively.
