2nd GAMM AGUQ Workshop on Uncertainty Quantification

The GAMM Activity Group on Uncertainty Quantification (AGUQ) will hold its second standalone workshop on September 10-11, 2015 at the Technical University Chemnitz, Germany.

Organisation

AG UQ chairs: Vincent Heuveline (U Heidelberg), Fabio Nobile (EPF Lausanne)
Local organisers: Oliver Ernst (TU Chemnitz), Hans-Jörg Starkloff (FH Zwickau), Björn Sprungk (TU Chemnitz)

Date and Venue

The workshop will begin at 12:00 noon on September 10th and end at 14:00 on September 11th. It will be held at the 'Old boiler house' (Altes Heizhaus), Straße der Nationen 62, TU Chemnitz.

Topics and Invited Speakers

The scientific part of the meeting will consist of invited talks on recent developments in theory and application of uncertainty quantification methods by

as well as a poster session for which particularly PhD candidates and post-docs are encouraged to present their current research and work.

The organisational part of the meeting will cover

  • discussions on past and future AGUQ activities,
  • election of new chair and vice-chair as per the AGUQ statutes.

Workshop Dinner

The workshop dinner will take place at the restaurant 'Kellerhaus' (Schloßberg 2, 09113 Chemnitz) on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. The restaurant is in approximately 20min walking distance from the conference venue.
