The 12th AAE Summer School: “Responsible and Sustainable Management of Innovation in Urban and Global Contexts” will take place in Durban, South Africa, from 13th – 25th of August 2018.
The Summer School will include several workshops, lectures and field trips. Additionally, the attendance and active participation at the 5th Business Management Conference with the theme “African Cities of the Future: Management and Legal Solutions” is part of the AAE Summer School.
Interested German students can apply for the Summer School by submitting an abstract of 1000 words including an own research idea/project on the topic of “Responsible and Sustainable Management of Innovation in Urban and Global Contexts” and a short CV (one page) until the 20th of April 2018. Each German student will present his or her research project in a special Summer School track at the BMC. A guideline for Summer School abstracts you can find here.
The chosen German participants have to cover the costs of transportation to Durban, the conference fee and accommodation on their own. Conference fee, catering and accommodation will cost approx. €1000 per participant. But first funding options will reduce the costs to less than €500 (excl. flight) and we are still trying to generate further funding possibilities for the chosen students.
To benefit from funding possibilities German students are recommended to take into account PROMOS Grant Programmes (application deadline 4th of May 2018). Further funding options will be published when available to reduce the attendance costs.
Moreover, the CUT-Summer School Team is looking for applications as student assistant to help preparing and locally supporting the Summer School 2018.
