Students' Union (FSR)
for the Faculty Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
We are the Student Council for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FSR ET/IT), and our mission is to support and enrich your studies at our faculty in the most diverse way possible.
Our main objective is to establish a strong connection between students and the faculty. We serve as your voice and advocate, passionately working to ensure that your concerns are heard and taken into account, whether related to the course of study, curriculum, or any other matters that impact your student life.
As a student council, we take care of the following:
- Providing advice and support for study-related questions
- Organizing events for student interaction and networking
- Arranging excursions and workshops for career orientation
- Representing your interests at the faculty and university level
- Providing up-to-date information and communication on important topics
Currently, our team consists of ten dedicated students who volunteer their time and effort to serve you.
Your feedback is crucial to us! Feel free to share your ideas, critiques, and suggestions, which help us continually improve the Student Council. Better yet, become a self-elected member of the Student Council and actively shape university life.

[Exkursion] Technic Center Frankenberg

Technic-Center Frankenberg/Sa. Engineering GmbH (TCE) develops and manufactures high-quality chargers, switching power supplies and motor controllers in the centre of Saxony. Its satisfied customers include global market leaders from various industries, including industrial trucks, cleaning machines and power tools. With over 30 years of experience, TCE provides its customers with innovative solutions "Made in Germany". These products in turn form the basis for the sustainable, efficient and profitable utilisation of energy and thus the conservation of natural resources. Our efficient development department offers a wide range of services. This ranges from conceptualisation to hardware and software development, resource-saving design, worldwide approval and sample production.

The ICM - Institut Chemnitzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. is a research and development partner for regional, medium-sized mechanical engineering companies. As a private, non-profit research institution, the institute offers interested companies the opportunity to collaborate in joint R&D projects. The focus is on industry-oriented research with the aim of developing innovative products together with companies.

[Exkursion] Vector Informatik

Topics such as connectivity, automotive cybersecurity, autonomous driving, vehicle-to-X and electromobility require innovative strength. Vector offers OEMs and suppliers in the automotive and related industries a professional and open development platform with tools, software components and services for the development of embedded systems. The focus in Chemnitz is on the development of embedded software for control units in vehicles, including the development of AUTOSAR software modules. The site is located on the Technology Campus in the immediate vicinity of Chemnitz University of Technology, Reichenhainer Straße.

[Exkursion] Einsiedler Brauhaus

The fear of the next exam phase is making your head spin? What could be better than a freshly tapped beer to cool the mind? For international students: The Einsiedel brewery is a regional brewery that has been producing beer in accordance with the German Purity Law since 1885. Be there when the regionally grown hops are turned into a cool drop that has been associated with German culture since the medieval times.
