From application to granting of asylum – what does the process actually look like? Who helps the applicants and what obstacles do they have to pass? Especially unattended underage refugees are in need for protection next to the usual process. Nadine Steinhäuser is going to report about their experiences in Chemnitz and the problems they are confronted with.

Mrs. Nadine Steinhäuser is Social Pedagogue. She is very involved in AGIUA and as a teacher in German she is in contact with unattended refugees and their problems every day. AGIUA is a non-profit association in Chemnitz, which supports applicants for asylum as well as refugees by giving advice in social and legal questions. Furthermore it offers educational programs for people who are interested.
