Chemnitz University of Technology (CUT) is a young, innovative university in Saxony. Currently, about 9,000 fulltime students are studying in the seven faculties of our university and enjoy extremely student-friendly conditions. There are over 700 international students. Practice-oriented projects and a long-standing cooperation with well-known companies and institutions in the region contribute considerably to the success of the university and its graduates. It provides information on a wide range of topics, including your studies, visas (work permits, travel), financial questions, social and cultural differences, and personal concerns.
The International Office designs programs to help foreign students to settle down in Chemnitz and to minimize the difficulties they may experience both upon arrival and later during their stay. Students are, for example, given the opportunity to participate in our Student Buddy Programme ("Patenprogramm") which connects them with other international and German students in Chemnitz. Furthermore, the International Office offers German language courses at different levels of proficiency.
