On 12th and 13th November 2020, the first international colloquium innoTRAC will take place at the Chemnitz University of Technology. For this purpose, two former events of the Professorship of Conveying Engineering and Materials Handling will be merged: the International GKT-Symposium (Plastic-Slide-Chains and Tribology in Conveyor Systems) and the fiber rope colloquium InnoZug. The colloquium innoTRAC will be organized together with the Chair of Material Handling of the TU Dresden and will be held in Chemnitz every two years in alternation with the conference TECHNOMER.

We invite all interested parties to a professional exchange in the following subject areas:

  • Traction and load-bearing mechanisms in application and development
  • Drive systems for traction mechanisms
  • Test methods and rapid testing
  • Condition monitoring and operational data acquisition
  • Hybrid systems, recycling and tribology in relation to traction and suspension elements

Research, development and application of traction and load-bearing mechanisms are focused at the colloquium. However, bridges should also be built between different fields and cross-sectional topics such as hybrid systems, recycling and tribology. Therefore, plenary talks and parallel sessions are planned. Breaks and the evening event will provide opportunities for discussion and networking. The colloquium is held in German and English.
