This lecture covers the basics of logistics. The main focus will be the planning and design of material flows as well as the thereby connected information flow within the company.

• Logical Elements; logical basic structures; goals and conflicting goals, logical (lean) strategies and methods
• Classification of funds, functions and fields of application more essential continuous and discontinuous conveyors, valuation of different planning alternatives
• Classification of storage and commissioning systems; Structure and fields of application of selected storage systems, storage operation and occupancy strategies; Planning of the storage
