Your Engagement
As a TUCambassador, you build a bridge between your former university and the country in which you currently live. You promote TUC as an attractive study and research institution, give prospective students from your country first-hand information of what student life is like in Chemnitz, and provide personal tips and advice. TUC members who are planning an academic or professional stay in your country may also turn to you with questions about the organization of their stay.
On the website of TUC, you will be presented in the TUCalumni network as a TUCambassador. Your profile will include a short introduction about yourself and a photo. This way, interested parties can get an idea of your academic education at TUC and of your professional experience until today. Through a personal contact form, they can get in touch with you via e-mail.
As a TUCambassor you will receive an official ambassador certificate from the Rector of Chemnitz University of Technology. With this status you are a representative of TUC and we support you in various aspects of your ambassadorship.
For your personal equipment you will receive a merchandising package of TUC with clothing, business cards, and giveaways. If, for example, you would like to found an alumni group or participate in events where you represent the TUC, we will send you information material and merchandising articles. Furthermore, we will regularly invite you to important events of TUC and support you financially with your travel expenses to Chemnitz.
You would like to support TUC more intensively? Here are some suggestions:
- Send us a video message and tell us how you experienced your time at TUC, which career path you took and which soft and hard skills you have learned at TUC that help you in your career.
- As a guest speaker at schools and educational events in your country, you can contribute as a multiplier for TUC.
- You can recommend TUC at suitable events, e.g. at scientific conferences, or display information material in local libraries and schools.
- As the contact person for local media, the press office of TUC may contact and will support you in case of targeted media inquiries.
