This microcredential focuses on neuromorphic computing, an emerging field in which the design of computer chips is inspired by principles of biological computation found in the brain. In the past years, many different neuromorphic chip designs have been proposed often with strong limitiations on implementable functions. In this course we will discuss the theoretical background, highlight potential limitations, but also benefits of neuromorphic computing platforms. The participants will then apply in small groups the gained knowledge using sample tasks.
