Research Associate for the Project “Graphic Neuronal Nets for Economic Applications” Institution: Institute of Statistics, Faculty of Business Administration Salary level: E 13 Start date: 01.09.2021 or later End of employment period: 31.08.2024 Application deadline: 15.06.2021 Weekly hours: 29,25 weekly hours (75%) Responsibilities Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications. Specific Duties Specific duties include collaboration for a DFG financed, international research project about graphic neuronal nets. The project will be operated together with the Skolkovo Institute of Technology (Russia). The duties contain data processing, development and implementation of neuronal nets for network and detection of anomalies and the preparation of documentations and teaching materials. Publications in international leading journals and presentations at international conferences will be aspired. Furthermore the possibility for research stays abroad and collecing teaching experience is given. Requirements A university degree in a relevant field. We are especially looking for graduates with a degree in quantitative fields of studies (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics with quantitative focus and comparable fields of studies) with an outstanding final degree. Outstanding knowledge in (statistical) programming (Python and R) will be expected. Experience, knowledge or interest in the area of neuronal nets, deep learning, machine learning and data analysis will be requested.
