Project description
The successful candidate will pursue a PhD project centered around the theoretical foundations of machine learning under the supervision of Joakim Andén and Kathlén Kohn at the Department of Mathematics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. The position is a full-time, five-year position starting at an agreed upon date. The position is fully funded for four years and will be extended to five years by assigning teaching duties. The student will be enrolled in the Doctoral program in Applied and Computational Mathematics. Moreover, the successful candidate will be part of vibrant and diverse research groups in algebraic geometry and mathematical statistics as well as the newly established unit Mathematics of Data and AI.
