Short curriculum vitae

I studied English and American Studies at Chemnitz University of Technology from 2015 to 2018 with a specialization in TESOL and English Literature. Additionally, I have taken a number of English language teaching training course certified by University of Cambridge (CELTA, DELTA M1 & M2). I have gained English teaching experience for about seven years in a number of countries, such as China, Egypt, Germany, Kuwait and Turkey. In addition to the wide spectrum of my teaching experience, my foreign language skills (English, German, Arabic and a bit Chinese) have always been an advantage in addressing learners’ needs and difficulties effectively.

With the outbreak of Covid-19, I believe that the use of digital platforms for task designs, peer collaboration and self-regulated reflective learning practices have been an emerging need of the age. Thus, I am currently involved in a PhD project, which aims to measure the impact of peer feedback on the metacognitive awareness of Turkish EFL learners’ virtual presentation skills, under the supervision of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jennifer Schluer.
