Short curriculum vitae

I completed a double major B.A. degree in English and American Studies / Theatre and Media Studies and an M.A. in English Studies, with a focus on Applied Linguistics at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. In my Master Thesis I investigated to what extent collocational information was provided by authorised English teaching materials used at secondary schools in Bavaria. Afterwards I spent one academic year at Ulster University in Coleraine where I worked as Language Assistant for German before I took a post at the University of Bonn as Research Assistant at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Svenja Kranich. In October 2021 I joined the English and Digital Linguistics team at the TU Chemnitz where I have been working as research assistant to Prof. Dr. Christina Sanchez-Stockhammer ever since.

Research interests

My research interests include phraseology and collocations, first and second language acquisition, corpus linguistics, cognitive linguistics as well as speech technology, AI, and NLP and machine learning. I am currently working on my PhD project which is focused on testing the effects of different influential factors on the acquisition of L2 collocational competence.
