Short Curriculum Vitae
I earned my B.A. in English Language and Translation from Isfahan University, Iran, followed by an M.A. in Corpus Linguistics from Lancaster University, UK. I subsequently completed my Ph.D. in English Translation Studies at Leipzig University, Germany.
Research Interests
My primary area of interest is Corpus Linguistics, particularly the design and use of corpora to investigate systematic patterns of language in different registers and contexts. I am keen to explore how corpus-based methodologies can contribute to related fields such as Translation Studies, Critical Discourse Analysis, Applied Linguistics, and the study of Discourse Markers. In my work, I employ both large-scale and specialized corpora to examine issues including translation equivalence, discourse organization, stance-taking, and cohesion. I am also interested in combining corpus evidence with perspectives from Critical Discourse Analysis to understand how language both reflects and constructs social realities, while linking these findings to applied domains such as pedagogy, translation practice, and cross-cultural communication.
