Forschungspraktikum Parallele und Verteilte Systeme (Practical Course Parallel and Distributed Systems) SS12

Course overview

This practical course deals with the implementation of selected algorithms and applications from scientific computing. The exercises encompass
  • Programming for a shared memory (e.g. by using OpenMP),
  • Programming for distributed memory (e.g. by using MPI),
  • Programming for graphics processors (GPUs) (e.g. by using CUDA).
Experience with these programming models are advantageous for this course.
