Chemnitz in Layers I: Soundscapes of Europe

The project "Chemnitz in Layers I: Soundscapes of Europe" consists of two sub-projects that reflect on the opportunities and risks of the current automation of intellectual and creative work. The results of these sub-projects will be documented on a media art website and can be "composed" into layers of any complexity (Soundscapes of Europe).

1. "Soundscapes of Europe: Babelmanufaktur" involves the use of ChatGPT4o for score production and the generation of AI performers for all European languages.
2. "Soundscapes of Europe: Babel 1" (1998/2025, language composition by E. Fricke). Concerts and concert installations with human and AI performers as a result of the Babel Factory (“Babelmanufaktur”).
